It's heart-wrenching to hear how a friendship that lasted for 15 years took an unexpected turn. The beauty of friendships lies in the shared moments and the lessons they teach us. It's a journey of learning, growth, and sometimes, letting go.
I think people change , we change and the wavelengths also change .. some friendships run deeper . You may not speak at all everyday and yet remain close and there are some where you speak everyday but there are no real emotional connections
Yes. Some relationships do run deep down. And lucky are the ones who get to have those kind of relationships.
But when (and if) they break, they tend to leave permanent scars which are difficult to heal and then they keep haunting you all the time, refraining you from establishing new ones.
In my opinion, there's nothing wrong in investing in deep friendships....but for any relationship in general, I would say that it's crucial that ultimately we don't become emotionally dependent on others and in that sense, rely on and expect them to provide us with emotional upliftment and fulfillment. Cause ultimately, the only ones we should rely on for such emotional needs are ourselves.
And additionally, it's important that we don't end up getting manipulated or used by others within our relationships, such that they don't respect us and our boundaries.

True. Its a journey where we at times need to let go, but we can always cherish the past.
